Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence to team for sitcom

Kesley Grammer and Martin Lawrence look to side-up for a multi-camera sitcom for Lionsgate and its auxiliary Debmar-Mercury, reports Deadline.

Details on the new show (said to be some sort of “Odd Couple” riff) itself are sparse, but word is the double act met up late 2012 to discuss doing a show together, and showed great chemistry.

The series would follow the same model as Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management”, in that if after the first 10 episodes the show’s ratings hit a certain number, it would automatically trigger the greenlight for a further 90.

Grammer’s coming off his two-season run on Starz’s “Boss”, which saw him to take reprieve from his comedic roots.
