Kimberly Peirce has A Friend Like Harry

Kimberly Peirce, knee-deep in pigs blood as we speak shooting the remake of “Carrie”, has been snapped up to redo another classic.

The “Stop-Loss” helmer is doing the English-language version of “With A Friend Like Harry”, the 2000 French film about a family man who is joined on his holiday by an old school friend who he doesn’t remember. Cue the creepy music and dead dog (I’m guessing, I haven’t seen the original – there’s just always a victim pooch, though).

Wentworth Miller, the “Prison Break” actor who has since gone on to write superlative screenplays (like “Stoker”, now in production with Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman), is on scripting duties.
