Kitsch offered lead role in The Raid

Taylor Kitsch was a candidate for Kyle Reese

Taylor Kitsch (“Lone Survivor”) has been offered the leading role in director Patrick Hughes’ English-language remake of “The Raid”, according to TheWrap,

The site says that Kitsch, who got his big break as Tim Riggins on TV’s “Friday Night Lights”, may have a scheduling conflict though – he’s also been offered a major part in the second season of HBO’s “True Detective”, which aims to shoot around the same time.

Liam Hemsworth was previously rumoured for a lead role in “The Raid”, while Frank Grillo is said to be set as one of the supporting players.

Taylor Kitsch’s other credits include “Battleship” and “John Carter”.
