Kyle Chandler Heads to Broken City

“Super 8” and “Friday Night Lights” actor Kyle Chandler has been added to Allen Hughes’ political thriller “Broken City.”

Variety reports that Chandler will play “the nuts and bolts component of his mayoral candidate, who will be played by Barry Pepper.

Wahlberg stars as a Gotham detective hired by a powerful politician (Crowe) to identify his wife’s lover, who is subsequently found and killed.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Griffin Dunne, James Ransone, Justin Chambers, Natalie Martinez and Alona Tal will also co-star in the Brian Tucker-scripted film, which is scheduled for release on Jan. 18, 2013.

Chandler is currently filming Ben Affleck’s next directorial pic, “Argo”.
