Labyrinth reboot in the works from Guardians of the Galaxy scribe

1986 fantasy film “Labyrinth”, which was directed by Jim Henson and starred David Bowie, is set to get a reboot.

According to THR, TriStar has closed a deal with The Jim Henson Co. to produce a new version of the pic, and “Guardians of the Galaxy” co-writer Nicole Perlman is on board to write the script.

The original film followed a 16 year old girl (Jennifer Connelly), who has 13 hours to navigate a labyrinth and save her young brother who was kidnapped by a goblin king (Bowie).

Whether the new film will be a sequel or a remake of the original remains unknown.
