Fox has ordered a one hour drama pilot for “The Exorcist”.
The show will be based on the 1971 William Blatty novel which also inspired the iconic 1973 horror film.
The pilot is said to be a reinvention inspired by the novel which is described as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.”
Jeremy Slater wrote the script.
