Luke Grimes Joins Taken 2

TV’s “Brothers and Sisters” actor Luke Grimes has been cast in the upcoming “Taken 2” sequel where Grimes will have a key role in the film, this according to Variety.

In the first part released in 2008, “Taken” found retired CIA agent Bryan Mills (Neeson) heading overseas to save his daughter (Grace) from a gang of ruthless European kidnappers. In the sequel, the tables are turned, as Mills and his ex-wife are held hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.

In mid-October, we revealed that Rade Serbedzija, who played Dmitri Gredenko in TV’s “24″ had been cast as the villain in “Taken 2″.

Serbedzija will play Murad, the father of a kidnapper slain by Bryan Mills (Neeson) in the first film. Murad is described as a vengeful man who gives orders and doesn’t take them. When Murad takes Mills and his wife hostage, their daughter is enlisted to help save them.

Olivier Megaton will direct the film with the original “Taken” writers  Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen returning to pen the sequel, which Besson will produce through his EuropaCorp banner.
