Hot off of starring vehicle “Blood Father”, and primed for a plethora of awards nights with his acclaimed “Hacksaw Ridge”, Mel Gibson is set for his next project. Titled “Every Other Weekend”, the action-adventure project will be directed by French filmmaker Benjamin Rocher.
Set for production in France later this year, the film’s script “has a multigenerational-family storyline that centers on a father who has his son convinced he’s a CIA spy, but in actuality he works in the agency’s IT department. However, on a father-son trip in Paris, the two find themselves in a life-threatening adventure in which secrets are spilled.”, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Gibson plays the grandfather, who is actually a spy.
The remaining roles in the film, written by Brandon and Curtis Birtell with revisions by Davis Moreau and Tad Safran, are yet to be announced.
