Suggesting her other gig is all but gone, “Michael J.Fox Show” star Betsy Brandt has signed on to star in the new ABC Drama “The Club”.
The 13-episode drama, set at a private country club, is one of two shows Brandt will appear on late 14/early 15; the actress, known for her long-running stint on “Breaking Bad”,will also recur on Showtime’s “Masters of Sex”.
In “The Club”, Brandt “will play Leslie, the wife of one of the brothers who own the club who just ran off with their father’s trophy-wife stepmother after squandering the club’s finances, leaving behind his wife, who has a legal consulting practice, and their son”, according to Deadline.
Should NBC decide to bring back the low-rating “Michael J.Fox Show” – which they won’t – Brandt will be expected to fulfill her obligation to it and forgo “The Club”.
