Is Mel Gibson being lined up to direct – and possibly join the cast of – “The Expendables 3”?
A tweet by star Sylvester Stallone suggests his fellow ’80s action comrade, who recently shot a bad guy role in the similar-toned “Machete Kills”, might be in the mix to call the shots on the new “Expendables”, expected to get underway later this year.
Stallone, who directed the first “Expendables” (Simon West replaced him for the second), asks :
..but seriously , what about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES 3? Opinions anyone ? Curious…..
It’s not secret that Stallone’s been chasing some big guns for “The Expendables 3” – namely Clint Eastwood, Steven Seagal and Harrison Ford – but this is the first we’ve heard of Mel Gibson’s association with the film.
Could be a fun comeback for Gibson, particularly if he co-stars, no!?
