Weeksy strikes again

Ladies & Gentlemen, Adam Weeks back behind the wheel for another round of Q&A while “Hollywood Movie Star” Clint Morris spends an evening drinking Champagne and eating only the tastiest of Caviar. He’ll be back on deck next week, so if you’ve got something ignorant to say, or even a question, you can get a hold of the big cheese here.

Q. I was wondering why the “Harry Potters” don’t come out with a extended edition like the “Lord Of The Rings” did? I know I should ask Warner Bros, but I couldn’t find a contact us thing. Thanks. – Sam
A. Well, there’s every chance that there might be an extended version of one or more of the “Potter” flicks at some point in the future, but I do remember Chris Columbus saying at one point that everything he wanted to get in “Philosopher’s Stone” & “Chamber Of Secrets” got in there, and the additional scenes on the DVD’s were just there for show. I think we could probably do without too many more “double dipping” editions, don’t you think?

Q. Hi There,
I am Amanda, I come from Australia and I love Jason Behr he is so amazing and sexy, and the best actor on earth. I have sent a lot of letters and email to him and I haven’t received anything as yet. So I was hoping if you could get Jason to send me an email for me as I really like him and it would mean a lot to me. Also who is he dating now.
– Amanda
A. Wow, that’s surprising. You’re saying that you’re sending a lot of letters & email to someone you’ve never met, and you’re unsure as to why he isn’t responding…. Tell you what, the next time I talk to Jason, I’ll remind him to finish up writing that “Cease & Desist” notice.

Q. I think there should be a Trek series involving the Temporal Cold War and the Temporal Observatory. There could be plenty of milage in that! – John
A. OK, having never gotten into any form of “Star Trek”, I’m gonna assume that’s something very geeky that the 10 people who watched the “Enterprise” finale would be interested in.

Q. What’s the scoop with “Dawn of the Dead 2”, Who’s directing and who will be in it and what’s the latest on Back to the Future 4? – Tim
A. Absolutely nothing on “BTTF 4”, and I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for anything to change there. As far as the next Zombie flick, let me cut & paste my answer to the same thing from two weeks back: “Steve Miner (“Halloween: H20”) is in the chair for the “Day” remake, and it is going to be a sequel to the recent “Dawn”. I know they are trying to get Ving Rhames, Sarah Polley & Lindy Booth to reprise their roles” – done and done.

Q. Great site – thanks – Karen
A. I am great, it’s true – Tell your friends.

Q. Hi
In 2009 Conan O’Brien is taking over “The Tonight Show”….Where does that put “Late Night”…Will someone else take over? Or will they pull the plug?
Ps.And would Max Weinberg also be going with Conan to “The Tonight Show”?
Thank You
– Sam
A.”Late Night” will be staying right where it is, and it’ll get taken over by another host. It’s funny, I was talking to someone at NBC while I was in the U.S. at the end of last year, and I got told that there were two dream replacements for Conan, which were Vince Vaughn & Jerry Seinfeld, so whether that ever happens or not is up for discussion. As far as Max goes, I don’t doubt that he will make the move with Conan.

Q. OMG!!!!
‘When a stranger calls!!!!’ I loved that movie….saw it when i was in grade 5….shit myself!!!!
– Lisa
A. Well, get ready to shit yourself all over again with the 2006 version – just not from fright.

Q. Hello hello
Awesome site as always (its my homepage) I know I missed the mailbag for this week but I thought hey this is a TV question maybe it’ll go in the “This Week In TV”. The rumor is that Alan Tudyk is gonna be in the pilot of a new CBS show called “In the Shadow of the Law”…any truth to that?
Thanks
– Nick
A. I have heard that story going around, but I also heard that the story of a potential “Firefly” resurrection wasn’t quite the “no go” that some people have made it out to be. The new CW network is making some interesting moves, so whether or not Alan sticks with “Shadow” or not remains to be seen.

Q. About a month ago I sent you a email asking if “Out Of Practice” was canceled and you more or less say it was. Now I don’t know if you like this show, but during “Still Standing” they had a commercial saying “Out Of Practice” was back on with a new night. Wednesday March 22nd its gonna be back on the air. Just letting you know if you already didn’t.
Thanks
– Nick
A. Back for another question, eh? Here’s the thing – “Out Of Practice” is going to be back on the air, but it’s only to play out the remaining episodes.

Q. Dude,
Like the site, get a laugh out of your sarcasm and wit. Can you find out if the knobs who own the rights to “Every Which Way But Loose” and “Any Which Way You Can” are ever going to release PAL versions for us Aussies.
If you can’t find out, feel free to throw some ball tearing comments back at me.
Regards.
– Col
A. Well, you learn something new every day. I didn’t know that the second one was even out on DVD over here. Yeah, I’ve got the NTSC version of “Every”, but the good news is that EzyDVD have a double pack listed for release in May in PAL format…. Not sure of the timing of this along with the news that The Rock might be set to star in a remake. There ya go, ball-tearing free.

Q. Thank you very much for the recent DVD prize. Much appreciated.
Regards
– Samantha
A. Yay.

Q. Hey guys,
Just wondering…if Channel 7 split the 2 hour season premiere of “The Amazing Race”, does that mean their claim that the show will be “fresh off the satellite” was more free-to-air-screw-the-viewers crap. Or are they planning a catch up?
– Matt
A. All depends on how strict your definition of “off the satellite” is really. Look, with the exception of the occasional “live” event that takes place, we’re never going to get instant play on these shows. Foxtel constantly advertises the WWE broadcasts as “hot off the satellite”, but there’s usually a delay of at least one or two days. What can you do?

Eli Roth has a film to Cell you

Is this the next big horror flick?
