With “Cinderella” making Disney a cement trucks worth of gold ingots this weekend, no surprise to hear the studio is putting all their weight behind making sure their next fairytale flick does equally as well. They’ve given Bill Condon’s “Beauty and the Beast” a similar release date as the former; film will open March 17, 2016.
In addition to the release info, The Hollywood Reporter have news on a couple of vets that have agreed to came aboard the Emma Watson starrer. Emma Thompson, never one to shy away from a solid family film, and Kevin Kline, seemingly more available than ever these days, have been cast as Mrs Potts and Belle’s dad Maurice, respectively.
Filming begins in May at Shepperton studios in London.
