“Sarcasms” stars good ensemble cast

Timothy Hutton, Mira Sorvino, Dana Delany, Stockard Channing and Mario Van Peebles will star “Multiple Sarcasms,” a new NYC-set drama, says Variety.

Writer/director Brooks Ranch’s film is set in 1979 and follows a man stumbling through a series of midlife missteps and deciding to write a play based on his relationships with the women in his life. Just as the play becomes wildly successful, his real life collapses.

Linda Morris co-wrote the script with Ranch.

The film is working from a $2.5 million dollar budget.
