Netflix is working with Kay Cannon and Charlize Theron to adapt Sophia Amoruso’s autobiography “#Girlboss” into a comedy series.
“Inspired by Amoruso’s best selling book, the “#Girlboss” series is about Amoruso’s rags-to-riches story from dumpster-diving and selling vintage clothes on eBay through her Nasty Gal Vintage label to building a L.A.-headquartered multi-million dollar fashion empire by the age of 27” (via Variety).
“Pitch Perfect writer” Cannon will serve as showrunner. She’ll also exec produce with Theron, Beth Kono, Laverne McKinnon and Amoruso.
