Looks like “Superman” is out for Malin Akerman.
The “Watchmen” and “Couples Retreat” star – recently rumoured for the role of Lois in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel reboot – has instead signed for “The Medallion”, a new Simon ‘Con-Air’ West-directed actioner to be headlined by Nicolas Cage, says THR.
The David Guggenheim written script follows a father — a former master thief — who has only a few hours to find his daughter when she is kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a New York medallion taxi cab.
Cage will likely also serve as Akerman’s tour guide on the shoot – it, like several of the actor’s movies of late, will shoot in New Orleans.
