TNT’s come down with a case of the Jon Favreau’s. The network, currently developing a reboot of ’80s soap “Dallas”, have decided they can’t afford to bring series staple Larry Hagman back to Southfork. As such, J.R Ewing will not be part of the new show as planned.
Deadline says that Patrick Duffy and Linda Evans are still set to reprise their roles as Bobby and Sue Ellen, and up until a “salary dispute” Hagman was also expected to get involved.
Now this is ridiculous…. not bringing Larry Hagman into the “Dallas” fold is like leaving Heather Locklear out of a “Melrose Place” reboot! Without either, the show’s don’t stand a chance. Pay that man what he wants. Now.
