Padmé Naberrie aboard V For Vendetta?

Like a fine wine, Natalie Portman only improves with age. And seems, like the vintage cheese that goes down well with it (and tastes better with age too), her film choices might be getting a little smarter too as she gets on.

The Spunkster – who hadn’t been as good as she was in "Garden State" since, say, "Beautiful Girls" or "Leon" – has reportedly signed on to star in the film version of Alan Moore’s "V For Vendetta", according to DC-on-film.com

The pic, set to be directed by James McTeigue and produced by The Wachowski Brothers, tells of a vigilante named "V", who stalks the streets of London trying to free England of its ideological chains.

McTeigue was first assistant director on the first two "Star Wars" prequels, so who knows how long he and Portman have been chewing the fat about this one.
