Paramount bringing U.S take on Inbetweeners to cinemas

Paramount is looking to do a U.S film version of popular Brit comedy “The Inbetweeners”.

A feature film version of the UK series was released last year offshore and became the highest-grossing comedy release in Britain’s history, says THR.

Iain Morris, who co-created the series with Damon Beesley, has been tapped to write and direct the U.S. version of the film.

The film would follow a U.S version of the “Inbetweeners” series, which debuts on MTV in August. No doubt Paramount’s film will feature the cast of the MTV series – Joey Pollari, Bubba Lewis, Zack Pearlman and Mark L. Young.
