Paul Feig is in “serious talks” to direct an untitled comedy set in the world of late-night talk shows, reports Variety.
Mindy Kaling wrote the script and will also star opposite Emma Thompson.
The film follows a venerated late-night talk show host (Thompson) who’s in danger of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer (Kaling). The project is described as “The Devil Wears Prada” meets “Broadcast News.”
