Ratner to Trump Ocean’s Eleven?

“Rush Hour 3” director on his all-star heist movie

Brett Ratner’s putting together what sounds like a black version of ”Ocean’s Eleven”. And hopefully, judging by the names he’s trying to coax into it, it ain’t gonna be a follow-up to ”The Cookout”.

The ”Rush Hour 3” (wow, read the reviews? sounds like a stinker!) director tells Moviehole.net today that he and funny man Eddie Murphy have cooked up an idea that’d team a bunch of famous African American comedians as employees of Trump Tower.

“Eddie Murphy came to me with this idea to do a movie with all the comedians, with Chris Tucker – like this is his dream team – we haven’t gotten these actors yet, but Chris Tucker, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jamie Foxx in one movie. And they all work in the Trump Towers, blue collar workers and one’s a door man and one’s a security guard and one’s a janitor. And they rip off the Trump Tower.”

Ratner says they’ll get around the mass paycheques by doing “it the way that Ocean’s Eleven did it, where they created deals or something.”

Somehow I can’t see Chris Tucker – who won’t get out of bed for less than $20 million – cutting his paycheque in order to share a poster with four other guys.

Full interview with ‘The Rat’ will be up next week.
