Ricky Gervais’ original Netflix film “Special Correspondents” has added six actors to its cast.
America Ferrera, Vera Farmiga, Kelly Macdonald, Kevin Pollak, Raúl Castillo and Benjamin Bratt will join Gervais and the previously announced Eric Bana in the film about a struggling New York-based radio journalist (Bana) whose arrogance and lavish lifestyle hinder his career. With his job on the line, he fakes front line war reports from his hideout above a Spanish restaurant in the city.
Gervais wrote and will direct the satirical comedy. He’ll also produce with Chris Coen, Aaron L. Gilbert, Manuel Munz and Larry Sanitsky.
Production is currently underway with the film set to be released on Netflix next year.
