“Power Rangers” casting updates are flooding in thick and fast now with the RJ Cyler set to play the fourth Ranger.
The “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” actor will play the Blue Ranger, opposite Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger.
Dean Israelite is directing the film from a script by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. Producers are Haim Saban, Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur.
The project will reimagine the origins of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of high school kids given extraterrestrial powers who unite to save the world.
“Power Rangers” will open on January 13, 2017.
