Ronda Rousey to star in autobiography adaptation

UFC fighter Ronda Rousey is set to star as herself in a film adaptation of her New York Times bestselling autobiography “My Fight/Your Fight”.

Paramount has nabbed the rights to the book with Mark Bomback set to adapt the script.

Mary Parent will produce with Rousey. Bomback will exec produce.

“It’s a real honor to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the bigscreen,” Parent said.

Rousey wrote “My Fight/Your Fight” with her sister Maria Burns Ortiz. The book is described as follows:

“In this inspiring and moving book, Ronda Rousey, the Olympic medalist in judo, reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion, and Hollywood star charts her difficult path to glory.”

Rousey has previously appeared on the silver screen in films such as “The Expendables 3,” “Furious 7″ and “Entourage”.
