Rosemarie to be scared DeWittless by Poltergeists

Rosemarie DeWitt (“United States of Tara”, “My Sister’s Sister”) is in talks to play the JoBeth Williams role in the “Poltergeist” remake/sequel.

DeWitt’s character is an original character, someone that didn’t appear in the original “Poltergeist” (1982) film or its sequel. In fact, if you’ve read my script review you’ll know the film isn’t so much the remake most have been touting it as, as it is a direct sequel to that original film, so makes sense that it’s a new bunch of characters the spites are after in this one (leaves the door open for cameos from the original cast too; if not this time, then in the sequel).

“Monster House” director Gil Kenan is directing the film… which, looking at that film title I’ve just credited to him, seems logical.
