Rupert Grint set for Snatch series

Rupert Grint has become attached to star in Crackle’s upcoming “Snatch” series.

Based on the 2000 Guy Ritchie film, the scripted drama series will be directed by Nick Renton with production kicking off in Manchester, England next week.

Grint will play the dynamic, frustratingly chaotic and utterly posh, Charlie Cavendis. Dougray Scott co-stars as Vic Hill and Ed Westwick will guest star as Sonny Castillo.

Inspired by a real life heist in London, Snatch centers on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.

Grint will also exec produce with Alex De Rakoff. Helen Flint will produce for Little Island Productions.

The series will premiere in 2017 with 10 one hour episodes.
