Samuel L. Jackson and Gerald McRaney Join Django Unchained

A couple of awesome casting bits for Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”. First up, Gerald McRaney from “Deadwood” is in negotiations for Tarantino’s Spaghetti Western flick. If the deal happens, McRaney will join one hell of a cast that includes Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz and Kevin Costner.

Next up is Samuel L. Jackson. EW reports that Jackson will reunite with his “Pulp Fiction” director to play a sadistic house slave named Stephen. Here’s to Jackson letting out “these mutha effin’ slave owners” line or two in the film. While I doubt that’ll happen, it’d be amusing.

With production expected to begin this November, the film will hit theaters on December 25, 2012.

“Django Unchained” tells the story of a freed slave (Foxx) who undergoes training with a German bounty hunter (Waltz) in preparation of saving his wife from their evil owner (DiCaprio).
