Scott puts the spotlight on Shadow Divers

The ever intriguing Ridley Scott has signed to helm another bit of cinema.

The "Kingdom of Heaven" helmer will drive a film version of Robert Kurson bestseller’s "Shadow Divers" to theatres, says Variety.

The story, adapted by William Broyles ["The Polar Express"], tells of a couple of wreck divers who in ’91 stumble upon the hull of a German U-boat in the sea near Jersey. The two men spend seven years trying to find out about the men who died in the vessell.

Maybe after this one, Sigourney can push him into a corner and have him ink his Hancock on the dotted line to say he’s keen for that long-rumoured "Alien" sequel.
