The LEGO Movie 2
Writer Jared Stern (“The Internship”, “The Watch”) has been hired to pen the sequel to this week’s “The LEGO Movie”. Warner’s decision to develop a sequel suggests they’re quite confident they’ve not only a decent family movie on their hands but a bonafide hit (The Wrap)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
We know B.J Novak (“The Office”) is in the film, but until today we didn’t know who he was playing. Well, according to director Marc Webb, he’s playing Alistair Smythe, son of the “Spider Slayer” creator Spencer Smythe (Twitter).

Insurgent
The sequel to “Divergent” will begin production in May, two months after the release of the first film. Akiva Goldsman was recently hired to write the screenplay for the movie, for a which a director is being sought (“Divergent” director Neil Burger isn’t returning). (Variety)

Rio 2
Twentieth Century Fox has released this new ‘Musician Early’ featurette, featuring musician Bruno Mars, for the upcoming animated sequel.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Gary Oldman says a sequel to the 2011 movie is a possibility. “I loved playing George in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. It’s on the cards and I know John Le Carre is very keen to do Smiley’s People. It could be a five, even a 10-year break – the years pass between the middle book (The Honourable Schoolboy) and the last one (Smiley’s People) anyway. But we’ll do one, I hope. I miss him. I love George.” (Total Film)
