Alien 5
Sounding less and less likely we’ll ever see the fifth “Alien” movie – the one that would nix the events of the previous two films and directly follow “Aliens” – and you can blame Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” movement. Asked for an update on his project on Twitter, writer-director Neil Blomkamp said the chances of the film ever going into production are “slim”.
The film, which would’ve reunited “Aliens” heroes Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn, was put on hold when Scott decided he wanted “Prometheus” sequel “Alien : Covenant” to come to fruition before the next ‘Ripley’-centric film did.
Godzilla 2
“Krampus” writer-director Michael Dougherty is set to direct the next “Godzilla” film for Legendary and Warner Bros. Dougherty has been attached to write the project for quite some time but has only now just received an offer to direct too. “Godzilla 2” will hit theaters March 22, 2019. (Variety)

The reboot of the “Tomb Raider” movie franchise – with Alicia Vikander playing Lara Croft – has gone into production, according to director Roar Uthaugh.

After being shut down last year, Victor Salva’s third “Jeepers” flick will be back in front of the cameras shortly in Louisiana. The film stars original “Jeepers Creepers” heroine Gina Phillips with Jonathan Breck back as The Creeper. (Bloody Disgusting)
