Musician Shakira has joined the voice cast of Disney’s “Zootopia”, the studio announced today at their D23 expo.
Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin are also onboard the film, directed by Byron Howard (”Tangled”) and Rich Moore (”Wreck-it Ralph”) and co-directed by Jared Bush. Bush’s script fixes on a city comprised of neighborhoods such as ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown.
Characters include a by-the-book meter maid bunny named Judy Hopps (Goodwin), a fast-talking scam-artist Fox (Bateman) and the biggest pop star in Zootopia, Gazelle (Shakira).
“Zootopia” is due for release March 4, 2016.
