Singer directing X-Men : Apocalypse; will feature First Class cast

Bryan Singer will direct “X-Men : Apocalypse”, a further film in the long-running superhero franchise that the filmmaker himself announced on Twitter last week.

The movie, due for release in 2016, will be a direct sequel to next year’s “X-Men : Days of Future Past” – with a scene at the end of the new film leading into “Apocalypse”, according to Vulture.

Unlike “Days of Future Past”, “Apocalypse” is “intended to focus strictly on the younger James McAvoy-Michael Fassbender cast.”

As for what ‘Apolcaypse’ is, Singer is happy to debunk the rumour that it’s an alien of some sort, taking to Twitter to sprinkle water on that fiery scoop.
