Things went awry for Tom Sizemore, the star of such films as “Heat”, “Saving Private Ryan” and “Mission to Mars”, when he was convicted in 2003 of assault and battery against his girlfriend, the former “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss. Oh, and then there’s his renowned battle with the bottle. And drugs. Oh, and more drugs. And more jail.
As such, the man’s career has been tainted with a not so appealing before-and-after picture.
Alas, umpteen SAG ultra-low budget films later Sizemore’s returning to the big leagues (somewhat) with a role in the film adaption of Chuck Palahniuk‘s “Snuff”.
Fabien Martorell, co-writer and director of the upcoming movie, tells ChuckPalahniuk.Net that Sizemore will play Mr. 600 in the movie.
Daryl Hannah and Thora Birch have also been cast added to the cast.
The movie is set in a crowded basement where three guys await their turn at gang-banging – on camera – an aging porn queen and reveal they all have more at stake than simply securing their spot in adult entertainment history.
Sizemore is a terrific actor – if he’s indeed clean now, and back scoring nice roles, I’m all for it.
