Julia Roberts has signed on to play the Evil Queen in Tarsem Singh’s new “Snow White” film, according to THR.
The flick, one of several Snow White projects in development, sees Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs looking for payback after the former’s evil stepmother kills her father.
The other high-profile “Snow White” pick in development is “Snow White and the Huntsman” which will tell chronicle the relationship between the ‘fairest of them all’ (played by Kristen Stewart) and the one sent to kill her, played by Viggo Mortensen.
Relativity’s “The Brothers Grimm : Snow White” plans to release the film June 29, 2012.
