Sony has landed a new film from “Star Wars” director J.J Abrams.
The secret science-fiction project, which boasts Abrams’ name as a producer, will mark the feature directorial debut of shorts maker Chris Alender.
Sony won the bid ahead of Lionsgate and STX.
According to Deadline, the project has a “Cloverfield”-like feel (Abrams produced the former) and involves aliens.
