Sony to release the Blade Runner sequel internationally

Sony Pictures has nabbed the international distribution rights for Alcon Entertainment’s “Blade Runner” sequel.

At this stage a release date has not been set.

Set several decades after the events of the original 1982 pic (which was set in 2019), the “Blade Runner” sequel will star Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling.

Denis Villeneuve is directing the film with production scheduled to begin in July.

Warner Bros. is distributing in North America and Canada.
