A last minute addition to Sony’s reboosequel to Robin Williams classic “Jumanji” with Deadline reporting that “Animal House” and “West Wing” fave Tim Matheson has joined the cast.
The veteran actor recently earned a Critics Choice nom for his portrayal as Ronald Reagan in National Geographic’s “Killing Reagan”.
“Jumanji”, which stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart star alongside Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Rhys Darby and Morgan Turner, sees Matheson play the role of ‘Old Man Vreeke’. No further details on the character – but I’m guessing he’s older and wiser than his co-stars, and familiar with the board game. Or I’m totally off and just using my assumptions to fill up space on the page.
