“Spider-Man” scene-stealer J.K Simmons and Nina Arianda (“Goliath”), will play William Frawley and Vivian Vance, respectively in Amazon and Aaron Sorkin’s ”Being the Ricardos”, the film about I Love Lucy stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem are in final talks to play Ball and Arnaz, with “West Wing” alum Sorkin writing and directing.
Frawley played Fred Mertz on “I Love Lucy”, while Vance played Fred’s wife and Lucy’s bestie, Ethel Mertz.
The movie is set during one production week of the sitcom- Monday table read through Friday audience filming — when Lucy and Desi face a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.
