“Force Awakens” alum Josh Boyega has joined the cast of Kathryn Bigelow’s Detroit Riots movie.
The film, boasting a screenplay from Mark Boal, is Bigelow’s first since the Oscar Winning “Zero Dark Thirty” (2012).
The untitled flick, which is still without a distributor, is described as ”a crime drama set against the backdrop of Detroit’s devastating riots that took place over five haunting summer days in 1967. The film explores systemic racism in urban Detroit.”
