Sounds like the “Crank” franchise has got the Yank.
Speaking to Collider at the press day for his new film “The Mechanic”, star Jason Statham suggested the box-office failure of “Crank 2 : High-Voltage” has killed all hopes of a third film.
“It’s a shame the last one didn’t do that well. I think the first one had a little bit more success and usually if you do a sequel, it usually has to in some ways take a little bit more money than the first one.”
The actor said he’s nothing planned for the immediate future. “The most I’ve had is a couple of movies in front of me, but now I’m just waiting for Stallone’s next film, The Expendables 2”.
