Alternate opening for The Social Network

Having worked on a couple myself I can tell you that there’s usually always a couple of different openings for each movie and one can chosen over the other for any number of reasons – maybe you can’t get the rights to the music you’ve planned to use *cough* Coldplay *cough*, it could run too long, test audiences might have given it the thumbs down, or maybe it just didn’t feel a ‘fit’ with the rest of the movie.
“The Social Network” writer Aaron Sorkin had long wanted to use Paul Young’s “Love for the Common People” as the film’s opening title track, but later agreed that director David Fincher’s decision to have Trent Reznor’s score open the flick made the most sense.
