Sung Kang replaces Thomas Jane in Bullet in the Head

Sung Kang (“Fast Five”) will replace Thomas Jane in Walter Hill’s “Bullet in the Head” (formerly “Headshot”).

Jane was let go from the production because producer Joel Silver wanted star Sylvester Stallone’s co-star to be ethnic – a’la Mel and Danny in “Lethal Weapon”.

The film, the tale of a hitman and a cop that team up to take down a mutual enemy, has also secured the services of former “Lost” star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaj to play it’s villain, ’80s heartthrob Christian Slater (“Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves”, “Young Guns II”) to play a ‘middle man’, and Holt McCallany (“Alien 3”, “Lights Out”) will portray Kang’s dirty cop partner.

Production begins on the film in Louisiana shortly.
