Aaron Eckhart, the frontrunner for Harvey Dent?
The “Batman” movie rumour mill is still in business – and it ain’t closing until the day Warner Bros releases that final cast list to the media.
Latest whisper, via our friends at Latino Review, is that Aaron Eckhart is the current frontrunner to play Harvey Dent/Two Face in “The Dark Knight”.
Should there be anything in this, Eckhart (“The Black Dahlia”) will have to sign up for two films. It’s believed he’ll be Dent in the new film, but in the sequel to follow, he’ll transform into his villainous alter ego, Two-Face.
As previously mentioned, Matt Damon was offered the role, but knocked it back – so who knows where Eckhart sits on the list (He’s good, but I can’t imagine him being top of the wish list).
(The site also mentions that Maggie Gyllenhaal’s name has come up as a possible replacement for Katie Holmes, as Rachel Dawes, in the film).
