Update! The Hollywood Reporter has spoken to reps for both actress Demi Lovato and Marvel who say that there’s no truth to the rumours that Lovato will be playing a part in Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers”.
Disney staple Demi Lovato (“Sonny with a Chance”) is rumoured to be up for a role in Marvel’s looming “Avengers” movie.
RadarOnline mentions Lovato’s potential appointment with the all-star superhero crew.
Disney will be distributing “The Avengers” – as part of the Marvel package they recently acquired – so it’s not unlikely that the Mouse Factory wouldn’t want to plant a couple of their ‘regulars’ in such a film. Still, just a rumour for now.
“The Avengers”, which may or may not pit the titular superheroes against ”the Skrulls and the Kree”, stars Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Samuel L.Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Don Cheadle as War Machine.
