We only just got confirmation of the “Bond 25” release date, being set for November 8th, 2019, but of course we’re still missing key details, such as who will play the 007 agent, who will direct and the title of the film.
Rumours are still flying that Daniel Craig will be back to reprise his role as James Bond, with UK’s The Mirror confident that Craig will be back. They’ve also gone a step further to note that the 25th Bond flick has a working title of “Shatterhand”, and will head to Croatia to film, as well as parts of France and Japan. Furthermore, it’s said that the plot will be based on parts of the 1999 novel “Never Dream Of Dying” by Raymond Benson, but also taking inspiration from 60s Bond books “You Only Live Twice” and “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. They claim that Craig’s Bond will battle a blind Supervillain, and that Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista will be back on board as villains.
None of this has been officially confirmed by anyone, but merely comes from sources close to the site. The film is in very early stages of development, with a director for the flick yet to be confirmed. Frontrunners for the job were reported to be Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve and David Mackensie.
At this stage, the only news that is absolutely 100% confirmed is the release date, so for the rest of it – take it with a grain of salt. Or a side of Martini, shaken not stirred of course.
