Ian McShane will play Professor Broom in the upcoming “Hellboy” reboot, THR reports. The film also will star David Harbour as the title character, and McShane is coming aboard as Hellboy’s adoptive father.
Neil Marshall is on board to direct the film, which has been titled “Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen”. The story sees Hellboy square up against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind. It’s also been confirmed that filming will begin in September in the UK and Bulgaria.
No word yet on who will play the female lead for the film, but no doubt there will be word out soon with production looming.
