Bellamy Young (“Scandal”) is set to star in “The Night Stalker” opposite Lou Diamond Phillips.
Young will play a defense attorney in the movie about serial killer Richard Ramirez’s 1985 killing spree. At the time of Ramirez’s crimes, Young’s character was 15 years old.
The film will centre on a prison interview between the aging killer and a lawyer attempting to elicit a confession from Ramirez that will save another man from death row.
Megan Griffiths is directing from her own script with Alisa Tager and Matthew R. Brady producing.
Production will kick off this summer.
