“Faster” wasn’t exactly the welcome-back-to-the-action-genre effort we’d hope it’d been for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson but nonetheless it was great to see the hunky action hero doing what he does best – which, if you don’t already know, isn’t chasing wobbly UFO’s and wearing tutu’s.
Johnson, next in “Fast Five”, will star in “Snitch”, a new action thriller from writer/director Ric Roman Waugh, says THR.
The script, at one stage set up at New Line with Carl Franklin directing, tells of ”a suburban father who is hit hard when his teenage son is sentenced to 30 years under mandatory minimum drug laws. In order to reduce his son’s sentence, the father goes undercover to serve up a senior drug dealer.”
Could be good.
