Things We Missed : Captain Marvel directors, U.N.C.L.E 2, Fast 8 spin-off

attends Variety Awards Studio - Day 1 at the Leica Gallery and Store on November 20, 2013 in West Hollywood, California.

Brie Larson is set to play the title role in “Captain Marvel”, and the script is said to be nearing completion with production occurring in February 2018 ahead of its March 2019 release date. It’s now been announced that the flick has been given two directors: Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The duo don’t have a lot of experience in the action arena, but they certainly have plenty of experience in TV and movies and hopefully some fresh virgin eyes on the Marvel creation will yield positive results.

Guy Ritchie’s “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” could potentially get a sequel, with star Armie Hammer letting slip that the producer Lionel Wigram eloquently stating “Yeah fuck it, I’ll do it. I’ll write a sequel”. So it’s not by any means an announcement of any means, but could be good news for fans of the flick, which had an all-star cast.

”F8” could potentially get a spinoff, with co-stars (and stand-outs from the latest release) Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham to team up for their own movie within the ”Fast & Furious” world. Not many more details are available at this early stage, but it has been stated that Chris Morgan will write again, and it’s likely that the movie won’t “count” towards the ”Fast & Furious” movies. In other words, this is a franchise that will likely never die.
