“Girls” will be back on January 12 next year and, as ridiculous and as awkward as ever, the season 3 trailer has arrived.
With a dedicated fan following, the third season of the HBO series has been long awaited.
Returning for season three are Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver, Alex Karpovsky and, the show’s creator, Lena Dunham.
Of course, the untimely departure of Christopher Abbot, who played Charlie Dattolo, following the season two finale last year will see the fan favourite absent from the show’s third season.
Of his resignation, Abbot told The New York Times: “The world that Lena wrote was very real, especially in New York, but it wasn’t as relatable for me on a personal level. It’s not that I only like to play roles I know to a T, but there’s something satisfying about playing parts where you really relate to the characters.”
Nevertheless, the “Girls” season 3 trailer looks just as heart-warming and real as fans have come to expect from the awkward quartet of New York Girls.
