Tom Welling heads to Parkland

Former “Smallville” star Tom Welling has – two years after hanging up both his cape and tucking his SAG Card back inside his wallet – snared a co-starring role in the new Tom Hanks-produced JFK Assassination movie “Parkland”, according to Deadline.

Welling, whose other credits include “The Fog” and “Cheaper by the Dozen”, partakes in a story that revolves around the people in the Parkland Hospital, after JFK is shot and rushed there for an emergency fix that came too late.

Welling joins an all-star cast that also includes Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, Paul Giamatti and Zac Efron.
